Our beloved farmland is steeped in family history. Originally bought at auction in July 1935 by the father of, our namesake, Earnie Partridge, sections of fields have, over the years adopted various nicknames; most notably, ‘Ugly,’ ‘Shoulder of Mutton,’ and ‘Kelly’ which now houses our beautiful site.

Whilst the deeds have seen name changes between just two families, Earnie’s Great Grandson, Craig Gibbs, bought the land from his close friend Carina Gibson in 2018. Craig, with a passion for pig farming, has since adopted multiple uses for the land and in the summer of 2022, hatched a plan to covert Kelly into a luxury retreat for others to experience and enjoy. Craig, along with his wife Wallis and growing family have spent the last 2 years carefully fine tuning their vision and were delighted when Carina expressed an interest to take on the running of the Partridge Retreat. A contemporary countryside retreat, designed with our guests at the very forefront of our mind.

We welcome those wishing to escape the daily grind and immerse themselves in country life. We offer breakfast hampers and bbq boxes which are available to purchase when you book. Much of the produce for example the bacon, sausages and eggs are from our very own farm next door, you don't get much fresher than that. Along with a fabulous and carefully thought out selection of beverages from Suffolk based brewery, Adams.

Priding ourselves on inclusivity, we are able to accommodate couples, furry friends and families alike, offering a range of sleeping configurations in our stunning, bespoke built pods. Using the highest quality materials, and high spec amenities including walk in showers and fully equipped kitchenettes, we have spent the build stage of this project carefully considering your every whim.
